Sigur-Ros-Me-su--eyrum-vi-s-451419SIGUR ROS Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust

2008 UK 'Special Deluxe Edition' 2-disc set comprising the 11-track CD album featuring the singles 'Gobbledigook', 'Inní mér syngur vitleysingur' & 'Við spilum endalaust'; plus a Bonus Region 0 PAL DVD including two beautiful films directed by Nick Abrahams that document much of the recording of their album and early touring. The first is a stunning, moving, hypnotic and transcendent piece of cinema [set to the band's music] captures the essence of Sigur Rós as people, as a band and as a unique musical force in both grandeur and humour; the second film is a documentary about the recording of the most ambitious piece of music Sigur Rós have ever undertaken. 'Ára bátur' was recorded live at Abbey Road by the band with a 69-piece orchestra and a 20-piece boys choir, conducted by Icelandic maestro Daniel Bjarnasson. The film is a thoughtful and engaging insight into the recording of a career highlight for the band and will bring a lump to the throat of even the most hardened cynic; and also features the banned video to 'Gobbledigook'. All presented in individually numbered deluxe packaging complete with a 196-page 12" x 9½" hardcover cloth-bound book of photographs shot by Eva Vermandel and is mounted with a unique strip of 16mm film from the 'Gobbledigook' video shoot – still sealed in original stickered shrinkwrap.
