'Duke Pandemonium' CD Release Date 11/05/2009
Marmaduke Duke, the self-created surreal musical world of enigmatic Scottish duo The Atmosphere and The Dragon, two frontmen better known as Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro and JP Reid of Sucioperro. 'Duke Pandemonium' follows on from the release of single 'Kid Gloves' in March and the hit 'Rubber Lover' on 20th April and is part two of a mythological musical album trilogy, performed and produced by The Atmosphere and The Dragon in 24 hours, and mixed by Rich Costey [Muse, Mars Volta, Bloc Party]. The 16th Century Duke, inspired by a trilogy of unfinished books written by a Portuguese man befriended by the Scottish duo, is perceived by The Atmosphere and The Dragon – the Duke's henchmen – as a wandering soul, a personification of man's most primitive and often under-explored impulses, and 'Duke Pandemonium' is the Duke's vision of a hedonistic and aberrant disco-party. In the debut album 'The Magnificent Duke', The Duke charted his slow descent into psychosis as represented by three differing musical suites – larynx-shredding rock, head-mashing ambient and heart-melting acoustic. In 'Duke Pandemonium', we see a change in the duke: The Duke is back and is ready for a party fuelled with decadence, deviance and dancing. From the minimalist lo-fi electronica of 'Kid Gloves', to the LCD Soundsystem-esque dance-punk mayhem of 'Silhouettes'; the urgent drum 'n' bass beats of 'Music Box'; the provocatively infectious pop-hooks of 'Rubber Lover'; and concluding with the carnival craziness of 'Skin The Mofo' – complete with steel drums; 'Duke Pandemonium' is the epitome of an eclectic record.

NEW YORK DOLLS
'Cause I Sez So' CD – 468116 Release Date 04/05/09
The Iconic band reunite with former producer Todd Rundgren for their fourth studio album 'Cause I Sez So'. The album includes 11 original compositions and a new version of 'Trash' from their 1973 debut album. The New York Dolls – David Johansen (vocals); Sylvain Sylvain (guitar); Steve Conte (guitar); Brian Delaney (drums); and Sami Yaffa (bass) appeared at the South By Southwest (SXSW) music conference. The New York Dolls swaggered onto the New York music scene in the early 70's, influencing a generation with their subversive mix of high-decibel rock and high-heeled androgyny. The original band recorded a pair of milestone records – New York Dolls (1973) and Too Much Too Soon (1974) – before breaking up in 1977. The surviving members reformed the group in 2004 to much acclaim, but soon lost bassist Arthur Kane to leukaemia. Two years later, Johansen and Sylvain reunited again to record the New York Dolls' third studio album, 'One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This'.

'Mirrorball' CD – 468061 / LP – 468086 Release Date 04/05/09
John Foxx & Robin Guthrie's collaboration was an idea that began when the pair performed at a Harold Budd concert in May 2005. Layers of echoes and reverberations are explored on 'Mirrorball', so that Guthrie's unique playing merges with abstract, often improvised vocals courtesy of Foxx.
To celebrate 20 years since the release of their debut album A Bit Of What You Fancy, The Quireboys will play the album in full – from start to finish – on eight dates across the UK this December. To add to the nostalgia, support comes from the original line-up of Wolfsbane, who were the opening act on the very first A Bit Of What You Fancy tour.

IRONIK featuring CHIPMUNK & ELTON JOHN
'Tiny Dancer [Hold Me Closer]' Release Date 27/04/2009
'Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer)' is the brand new single that sees Ironik team up with fellow grime star Chipmunk and the legendary Sir Elton John for an April 27th release. Out via Asylum Records, the uber-catchy track which samples Elton John's classic original showcases the melodic flows of Top 5 artist Ironik with 18-year-old rising star – Chipmunk who bagged a Mobo last year for Best Newcomer. The result is eagerly anticipated and hailed on Radio 1's Switch as the 'Song of the summer'!! Sir Elton John has only cleared two other samples for rap artists before: "Tupac and Kanye West are two artists I've let sample my records – that says everything about how much I rate Ironik" says Sir Elton, adding: "It's good to be able to help young talent I believe in". The new arrangement of Sir Elton and Bernie Taupin's cult-classic was possible only with access to the original 'Tiny Dancer' master tapes and Elton's personal approval – an almost unprecedented honour which puts 21-year-old North Londoner Ironik, alongside his friend Chipmunk in exclusive and prestigious company. In turn the two MCs have put a distinctly 2009 spin on the 1971 recording. Last year Ironik's 'Stay With Me' stormed the UK Top 5 with minimal airplay going on to reside inside the Top 20 for nine weeks, heralding an entirely new mainstream sound and trail-blazing a path for his peers to follow… Chipmunk alongside other artists such as Tinchy Stryder and N-Dubz have now followed Ironik's lead into the mainstream. Chipmunk's effervescent 'Chip Diddy Chip' landed major media support and has become a hit on his own independent label. Ironik's album 'No Point In Wasting Tears' followed hot on the heels of his debut single, 'Stay With Me' and is full of culturally relevant lyrical themes and sing-along choruses. These two releases became a definitive moment in Black British music – the benchmark for what is now known as Post-Grime Pop (PGP): the brighter, bubblier, youthful sound of the British streets. 'No Point In Wasting Tears' draws a pool of talent from his friends in the scene including the central figures: ultra-hot MC Chipmunk; producer Bless Beats; rapper Tinchy Stryder; and 'Godfather of Grime' Wiley; whilst also unearthing outstanding new vocal talents.

Details re: the album 'Wall Of Arms' retains all the energy and passion that made The Maccabees fan favourites first time round but is a huge leap forward creatively. Paired with the Arcade Fire producer Markus Dravs the album introduces horns and keys to their signature staccato guitar attack. The tonality of emotions explored and broad expanse of space the songs inhabit is breathtaking.
