THE VERONICAS 'Hook Me Up' [Release Date 15/06/09]
Already the biggest name in new Australian pop and now based in Los Angeles, 24 year-old twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, better known as The Veronicas, release their hit album 'Hook Me Up' on June 8th. The single 'Untouched' has already been played more than 44 million times on MySpace and will precede the album with a May 25th release. Both 'Hook Me Up' and the debut album 'The Secret Life Of…' have hit #2 on the Australian album charts and reached multi-Platinum status in the process. The duo already have one #1 single and a further four Top 5 hits to their name as well as an ARIA Music Award [Australia's equivalent to a Brit] and three MTV Australia Awards. They've also toured alongside the Jonas Brothers and Katy Perry. Their success has spread to the States where the single 'Untouched' has been certified Gold following more than 1.6 million download sales. The popularity of the single also sparked 'Hook Me Up' into life as it reached #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. 'Hook Me Up' finds The Veronicas moving away from the pop-punk sound of 'The Secret Life Of…' and moving towards a more sophisticated electropop feel imbued with the twins' signature vocal harmonies and immediately infectious melodies. The album features collaborations with Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Greg Wells (Mika) and Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera). "These last few years have been crazy" says Lisa. "We recorded two amazing records, toured the world with our bad-ass band and had a taste of superstardom in Australia. We actually have our own clothing line, can you believe that? Now it's time to really turn up the heat and are we ever looking forward to it!"

Herve's phenomenal new Tree & Leaf remix of Orbital's 1993 classic 'Lush' is to be released as a single alongside the album on limited edition 12" vinyl. B-sides of Tom Middleton's brand new re-model of 'Halcyon' and James Zabelia's remix of 'Impact' make this a must have single for dance aficionados everywhere. Made up of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll, Orbital were named after Greater London's own circular autobahn, the M25, which was central to the early Rave scene and party network in the South East of England during the halcyon 'daze' of Acid House. Their beginnings were producing simple but infectious top 40 Pop-Dance tunes with their debut single 'Chime', released in 1989, eventually reaching No. 17 in the UK chart and resulting in an appearance on Top Of The Pops. Since then, through their albums, film scores and beyond, Orbital have crafted some of the most innovative and yet accessible electronic music. One of their greatest achievements is their longevity, which is firmly based on a sound that is recognizably their own. Their live return this year will be a huge treat for an entire generation who grew up jumping to their music and a fantastic opportunity to experience them for those too young to have seen them before.

BLACK STONE CHERRY 'Folklore And Superstition' [Release Date 08/06/09]
While there are echoes of the past in their music – their fluid musicality recalls Zeppelin and they have an honesty often associated with bands like Skynyrd and the Black Crowes – it merely acts as a foundation for their music. Black Stone Cherry are a full-throttle modern rock band, with guitars that rage and a shuddering rhythmic attack. They sound as earthy and raw as Soundgarden, as heavy and fun as AC/DC, yet there's a higher level of musicianship to their performances and songwriting that makes them like no one else. Since winning 'Best New Band' at the Classic Rock awards, the band have matured and delivered a second album that has elevated them to a new level of musicianship which is soulfully executed. As Metal Hammer so eloquently put it "BSC are showing all the signs of becoming a celebrated and timeless band". Now the band unleash the ultimate collectors edition of the album featuring a complimentary second disc. The package boasts 10 additional rare and exclusive tracks housed in a stunning o-card with new and expanded artwork. Tracks include live intimate acoustics sessions, to full rip-roaring studio recorded tracks.
