CHRIS ISAAK 'Mr Lucky': [Release Date 15/06/09]
Chris Isaak will release 'Mr Lucky', his first album of new material since 2002's 'Always Got Tonight', on June 15th on Reprise. The album follows his current television show 'The Chris Isaak Hour' on which has interviewed and performed with artists such as Stevie Nicks, Michael Bublé, Yusuf Islam and Trisha Yearwood. Produced by Isaak with Eric Rosse [Tori Amos, Sara Bareilles] and John Shanks [Sheryl Crow, Fleetwood Mac] with the accompaniment of mixer Mark Needham [The Killers], 'Mr Lucky' features the dark yet beautiful songwriting that personifies Isaak's biggest hits such as 'Wicked Game' and 'Blue Hotel'. Bookended by the tortured soul of 'Cheaters Town' and the uplifting 'Big, Wide Wonderful World', 'Mr Lucky' features standout guest appearances from Trisha Yearwood on 'Breaking Away' [co-written by Diane Warren] and Michelle Branch on 'I Lose My Heart' and 'Baby Baby'. Elsewhere, Isaak excels with the single 'We Let Her Down' and 'You Don't Cry Like I Do'. "For better or for worse, the songs on this album do reflect where I am in my life right now," says Isaak. "The truth is I do put a lot of myself into my music. If people out there listening feel it's me in these songs, that means I'm probably doing my job. At the same time, I believe that anyone who's ever fallen in love – or out of love – should be able to hear themselves in this album too".
THE GOSSIP 'Heavy Cross': [Release Date 15/06/09]
Gossip will release their highly anticipated album Music For Men on 22nd June. 'Music For Men' was produced by multi Grammy Award winner Rick Rubin. This record marks the band's first release of new material on Columbia Records and is preceded by the release of single 'Heavy Cross' on June 15th. Gossip is vocalist Beth Ditto, guitarist Brace Paine and drummer Hannah Billie. A hybrid of soul, gospel, rock, funk, disco, punk, passion and rebellion, this three piece from Portland, Oregon first garnered attention in the UK with the release of the breakthrough album 'Standing In The Way Of Control' in 2006. The band is led by the inimitable Beth Ditto – larger than life, forthright, rebel rousing and infectious. Recorded at the historic Shrangri La Studios in Malibu, 'Music For Men' completely captures Beth Ditto's powerful vocals and the Gossips fiery sound and 'Heavy Cross' is the perfect introduction to the album.
ENTER SHIKARI 'Common Dreads': [Release Date 15/06/09]
'Common Dreads' is the new album. It was born in a back garden shed in St Albans after a mental two years in the lives of these young men. The band then moved to Arreton Manor, a studio amongst the remote and picturesque rolling moors of the Isle Of Wight with producer Andy Gray [who has not only worked with U2, Korn and Tori Amos, but penned that ubiquitous Big Brother theme music]. In this the rural seclusion that seems totally odds with the apoplectic and articulate squall of 'Common Dreads', our four plucky young heroes created a squall of political protest handily disguised as a club bangers and mosh-pit epics. The end result is a soundtrack for an entire generation – one where the party is as important as the politics. Some are already suggesting 'Common Dreads' will come to define the era into which it was born: one of recession, paranoia, state control and the fallout of decades of accelerated capitalism. But – and this is important – also an era of hope and creativity, humanity, hedonism, irreverence and fun. This revolution may not be televised, but it will certainly be amplified. Just check out lead single 'Juggernauts', a song that is already eating it's way through Britain's radios and sending all the other songs running for cover.

ASHLEY TISDALE 'Guilty Pleasure': [Release Date 15/06/09]
Ashley Tisdale, the singer and actress known to millions as the star of the blockbuster High School Musical series, will release her album 'Guilty Pleasure', on June 15th, 2009. Guilty Pleasure is an authentic reflection of a girl growing up and speaking her mind on songs like the first single 'It's Alright Its OK' – a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time. ''I love break-up songs'', Tisdale admits. "On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from a previous relationship by venting about the frustration. Everyone can relate to those moments. That song is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it's a message I wanted to get across to other girls". Working with a host of top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (who co-wrote the 'Headstrong' singles 'Not Like That' and 'Be Good To Me'), Tisdale co-wrote several tracks on 'Guilty Pleasure', including the feisty 'Acting Out', whose lyrics could serve as the album's mission statement: "Let me out of this cage / I'm not gonna hold back / I'm gonna break these chains / I'm taking control now / Gonna give you something to talk about / It's another side of me I'm acting out". She also co-wrote the propulsive 'Overrated', about not changing your personality for a guy, and two ballads 'What If' and 'Me Without You'. Another album highlight is the slinky, confident 'Masquerade', perhaps the most sophisticated song Tisdale has recorded to date. "I'm growing up and this is music I would listen to" Tisdale says. "On this record, I'm not catering to anyone other than to who I am as a person. I think all of these songs have a message and a story that anyone can relate to. I couldn't sing them if I didn't connect with them myself".
MAGNUM 'Into The Valley Of The Moonking': [Release Date 15/06/09]
Following enthusiastic reviews and euphoric fan reactions to their 2007 album, 'Princess Alice And The Broken Arrow', British hard rock legends Magnum are set to follow this up with the release of another first-rate recording: 15th June 2009 will see the arrival of their new studio album, 'Into The Valley Of The Moonking'. The band surrounding vocalist Bob Catley and guitarist / songwriter / producer Tony Clarkin have recorded a dozen new songs which sound melodic and rocking, diverse and catchy. "My hope is to make it interesting for anyone who hears the album, so I put great emphasis on lyrics and musical arrangements" offers Clarkin, and can rest assured in view of these impressive tracks that his band's substantial following will love 'Into The Valley Of The Moon King'. Magnum shine with a large number of sensitive melodies and gritty hooks, and the track, 'Moonking', sees Clarkin get out his blues guitar and proves that Magnum's vocalist cuts a fine figure in every rock genre. 'Into The Valley Of The Moonking' is new and exciting and features small surprises and intricate details, yet the album definitely continues Magnum's typical melodic rock tradition. Clarkin: "I think the common ground in all Magnum releases is that we take great pride in making a record and always do the best we can". 'Into The Valley Of The Moonking' will be available in three different versions: as a regular jewel case CD, as a top-quality Digipak consisting of CD and bonus DVD and for collectors in a vinyl format featuring two LPs and a fold-out cover.
STEVE VAI 'Naked Tracks': [Release Date 15/06/09]
"Through the years, whenever I would mix my records I would usually do a mix of specific songs without the lead guitar. This allowed me to play along with the track or make loops to jam to, and because I figured perhaps someday maybe others would like to do the same. Voila! We have arrived at someday!" – Steve Vai. This 5 CD set is the perfect practice tool for guitarists of all ages! All 5 CD's feature the backing tracks from the Steve Vai albums mentioned above: The 5 CDs are housed in a fold out digipak.

JOHN CIPOLLINA & NICK GRAVENITES BAND 'Rockpalast: West Coast Legends Vol. 1': [Release Date 15/06/09]
This CD features John Cipollina / Nick Gravenites – the complete Rockpalast concert at the Kleine Westfalenhalle in Dortmund on 28th November 1980. John Cipollina [1943-1989] made American rock history as a co-founder of Quicksilver Messenger Service and Copperhead. A typical "Jam Area" musician, he played in a number of other bands, among them the above-mentioned Terry & The Pirates, and worked with Huey Lewis and Robert Hunter ('Dark Star'), a member of the Grateful Dead who never joined the band on stage. And with Nick Gravenites: born in Chicago in 1938 and influenced by Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Howlin' Wolf and a friend of Paul Butterfield's, he took the Chicago blues west. He also produced the first album by Quicksilver Messenger Service. Together with Mike Bloomfield, he founded Electric Flag, who with their mélange of blues, rock, soul, country and jazz – practically an all-American mix – delivered their debut performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967, helping to kickstart the flower power hippie era. A few years later, Nick Gravenites joined Janis Joplin's former backing group, Big Brother & The Holding Company. The openness of the Bay Area music scene was on a par with one of the Rockpalast credos: I always tried to get the musicians together on stage for a final jam session – sometimes with success.
JORMA KAUKONEN & VITAL PARTS 'Rockpalast: West Coast Legends Vol. 2': [Release Date 15/06/09]
This CD features Jorma Kaukonen & Vital Parts. Kaukonen founded Jefferson Airplane together with Paul Kantner and Marty Balin and has been quoted as saying that the band name was based on his own nickname, Blind Thomas Jefferson Airplane, which reflects Jorma's love of the blues & specifically Blind Lemon Jefferson. Parallel to his membership with Jefferson Airplane, Jorma founded his own band, Hot Tuna, with which he tours to this day. He has always been more interested in blues and American roots music (blue grass) than in rock. Before going completely independent, Hot Tuna performed as part of or following concerts by Jefferson Airplane. Jorma Kaukonen was born in Washington DC in 1940. Having moved to California, he accompanied Janis Joplin, among others, on guitar at her first minor shows in bars and small clubs. Jorma Kaukonen has been inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame. The Rockpalast show took place on 29 November 1980 at the Kleine Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, one day after the John Cipollina concert (available on another Rockpalast DVD). A little Bay Area Music festival. First time ever on CD.
