JACK JOHNSON ‘En
Concert’ [Release Date 26/10/2009]

CD   I     Ltd CD/DVD  I   DVD  I     Blu-Ray

In the summer of 2008, Jack Johnson
took a trip through Europe playing everywhere
from historical venues to classic outdoor stages making it the biggest tour of
his career. The film is a collection of live performances with Jack's quartet
along with special appearances by G. Love, Ben Harper, Mason Jennings, Neil
Halstead and Matt Costa. Through weathering the stormy nights in Newquay to
surfing on a river in Germany, to playing the packed house in London's Hyde Park, the
film takes you on a trip and captures the connection between an audience and an
artist on an international stage.

The 2008 world tour had a ton of
special moments, and this CD represents some of the finest. From sharing the
stage at Bonnaroo with Eddie Vedder, to leading a massive singalong at Bercy in
Paris, to wowing a festival crowd at Outside Lands, to stepping onto the stage
alone to close the show at Red Rocks. Longtime crowd favorites from Jack's
catalogue are interwoven with passages from some of Jack's own favorite songs
['Do You Remember' segues into a verse from Jimi Hendrix's 'Remember'; Jack's
'The Horizon Has Been Defeated' blends into Paul Simon's 'Mother and Child
Reunion' in front of a mainstage headlining crowd at Bonnaroo, and 'Bubble Toes'
dips into the Charles Wright classic 'Express Yourself']. A deluxe edition will
feature both the film and DVD as well as an extended 60 page book of photos from
the tour.

MICHAEL JACKSON /
VARIOUS ARTISTS ‘The Remix Suite’ [Release Date
26/10/2009]

CD

Universal Motown Records in
New York has
enlisted the hottest producers in the game to pay homage to Michael Jackson by
remixing their favorite tracks from The Jackson 5's timeless catalogue of gems
and jams. Boasting innovative renditions of popular hits such as 'ABC' and
'Dancing Machine,' along with obscure classics like 'Maria' and 'Skywriter,'
'Michael Jackson: The Remix Suite' is as diverse in sound as its dazzling array
of notable producers. Akon, Polow Da Don and Stargate are some of the celestial
names enlisted to pay tribute to their hero. Also represented are dance music's
biggest names like Paul Oakenfold, Dimitri From Paris, Kenny Hayes, Frankie
Knuckles and Steve Aoki.

"It's no secret that Michael
Jackson's phenomenal talent inspired countless entertainers," says Universal
Motown President Sylvia Rhone, who spearheaded the making of 'Michael Jackson:
The Remix Suite'. "But his music also inspired many of today's finest producers.
That's why we thought it would be exciting to invite them to put their own
unique spin on his work. From Michael's amazing vocals to the great melodies,
grooves, and arrangements, the material they had to work with is so incredibly
rich. It's inspiration feeding inspiration and the results are
fantastic."

WHAT THE STAR PRODUCERS
SAID:

SALAAM REMI: "I was born a fan of the Jackson 5, so any chance
to work with Michael Jackson at any point is an honor. Michael defined the world
of music for everyone before, in, and after our generation. That's why I'm glad
to see my reggae remix of 'ABC' come to light. For inspiration, I imagined the
Jackson's taking a trip to Jamaica in the
early '70s with a Jamaican band playing behind them, and I wanted to channel
what that band would sound like playing behind
them
."

FRANKIE KNUCKLES: "In my opinion, Michael Jackson was the single
greatest recording artist and performer of our time. To have the opportunity to
work with MJ in any capacity as a producer is nothing short of working with a
God. To be able to study MJ's visions up close and personal and be a part of the
magic is nothing short of bringing my life and career full circle. As a kid, I
sang along to all of his songs. As a DJ, I played all of his songs. And as a
Grammy winning producer/remixer, I aspired to work with him. To date, I have
remixed five songs for Michael Jackson. Now that's a "Thriller"! For this
project, I chose to remix 'Forever Came Today' because of my history with the
song. As a DJ, it has always been my favorite song by the J5. It has great
energy, fabulous rhythm, and always rocked my dance floor in Chicago at the Warehouse.
It's definitely one of the original Warehouse classics that still packs
dance-floors in Chicago to this day. My creative vision was to
make it "a groove thing." I love the way Michael and Jermaine play off one
another in the vamp, along with Tito's guitar licks and that infectious bass
line, so it just made sense to give it that funky deep-house groove that would
make it impossible to resist. Plus, those brilliant strings and brass
arrangements highlighting the track make everything
sparkle
."

PHARRELL WILLIAMS FROM THE
NEPTUNES: "We jumped at the opportunity to be involved with
Universal Motown's Michael Jackson remix project because Michael is a legend—the
greatest of greats. He influenced our entire career and redefined the world of
music. In fact, he redefined the world. That's why it was an honor to remix
'Never Can Say Goodbye.' Michael is the creative inspiration for our remix. I'm
a huge fan of his, plus 'Never Can Say Goodbye' is my mom's favorite song and I
knew she would be excited when she heard
it.
"

'Michael Jackson: The Remix Suite'
is a fun, fresh, and funky testament to the infinite appeal of the early works
of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5 that will inspire, uplift, and electrify
listeners for generations to come.

VARIOUS ARTISTS
‘Kats Karavan – The History Of The John Peel Show’ [Release Date
26/10/2009]

4CD:   http://991.com/Buy/ProductInformation.aspx?StockNumber=487391

The late great John Peel was the
champion of the obscure and unheard. The DJ that, for decades, introduced
generations of teenagers to new music and gave hundreds of bands their first
mainstream broadcast and whose In-Session recordings are the stuff of legend and
spawned an entire series of their own.

Astonishingly, it's 5 years since
his passing and a new generation has grown up not knowing what it was like
listening to a DJ who would play Bloc Party and then Ivor Cutler, Yeah Yeah
Yeah's and then Bong-Ra, Linton Kwesi Johnson and then The Misunderstood.
Universal Music, with the full approval of John's family have taken on the
unenviable task of trying to recreate one of John's shows.

This lavishly packaged hard back
book style 4CD set contains singles and Peel session recordings by some of
John's favourite artists .The big players and the one hit wonders. The chart
toppers and chart bottomers.

Disc 1 highlights include 'The
Misunderstood', the only band John managed and the band that performed one of
his all time favourite gig; "If I had to list the ten greatest performances I've
seen in my life, one would be The Misunderstood at Pandora's Box, Hollywood,
1966. My god, they were a great band!", and the recently discovered Peel Session
version of Free's 'Walk In My Shadow', long thought of as destroyed after its
first broadcast. This is one of 4 unreleased versions on this disc, the others
are by John Cale, Medicine Head and the Boomtown Rats. Alongside many long
deleted rarities.

Disc 2's highlight has to be John's
only appearance on record, singing backing vocals to Altered Image's 'Song Sung
Blue'. It sits alongside unreleased recordings by Elvis Costello, The Cure,
Linton Kwesi Johnson, Julian Cope and Soundgarden .

Disc 3 features unreleased
recordings by Hole, Thievery Corporation, Marxman, Tiger and Justin Berkovi
.

photos alongside recollections from some of the biggest and smallest artists to
appear on John's show. Artists such as Jarvis Cocker, Bloc Party and Mercury Rev
all contributed.

The band are now regarded as
national heroes in Ireland and originally entered the charts in 1990 with their
debut single 'I Useta Lover' spending nine weeks at number one in their home
country. They have recently enjoyed a huge resurgence with their cover of 'About
You Now' original performed by the ever-changing Sugababes. This track was
originally covered on a show in Ireland but was so successful they
released the track and it stormed to Number One all in aid of charity.

Now their Best Of album is available
to buy with all their greatest tracks including 'About You Now', 'N17', 'Last
Summer In New York', 'To Win Just Once' and 'I Useta Lover' (the biggest selling

MERCURY REV ‘The
Complete Peel Sessions’ [Release Date
26/10/2009]

2CD

Mercury Rev arrived on the scene in
1991 with a blistering revved up art punk rock debut 'Yerself is Steam' which
is, without doubt, one of the finest debuts of the '90s. The next few years saw
them deliver 2 more critically acclaimed albums; 'Boces' and 'See You On The
Other Side' but commercial success eluded them until they released 1998's
'Deserter's Songs'. This was followed in 2001 by their number 11 album 'All Is
Dream', which was sadly the last album they released before John Peel
died.

The band treated a session for John
Peel as one of the most important things they'd ever done; Jonathon Donahue said
"we took it so seriously, it was like we were doing an audition for some huge
mogul like Clive Davis". The band spent over 20 hours on their first session,
creating unique versions of 4 tracks from the album. 'Frittering' and 'Chasin' A
Bee' stand out as highlights from this session, both are fantastic reworks of
the original songs.

1993 and 1995 saw the band record 2
more sessions for John which included a cover of 'I Only Have Eyes For You'. In
1999 the band returned to promote 'Deserter's Songs', recording a 10 minute
version of 'The Funny Bird' / 'Tonite It Shows' alongside covers of Lennon's 'I
Don't Wanna Die and Beefheart's 'Observatory
Crest'.

The band recorded what turned out to
be their final session for John in 2001. It included a cover of Black Sabbath's
'Planet Caravan' alongside 6 other live versions of tracks from 'All Is
Dream'.

This 2CD set brings the bands
complete Peel Sessions together for the first time. The artwork features
sleevenotes by Jonathon Donahue, recalling his relationship with John Peel and
what it was like to record one of the legendary 'Peel
Sessions'.

ELVIS COSTELLO
& THE ATTRACTIONS ‘Live At The El Mocambo’ [Release Date
26/10/2009]

CD

The first edition in the 'The
Costello Show' live performance series of complete concerts featuring Elvis
Costello finds one of the most eclectic and acclaimed artists at the fiery start
of his career. Live At The El Mocambo marks Volume 1 of his ‘Elvis Costello –
The Costello Show' series of albums. During the next year or so, the The
Costello Show series will continue with the album releases of significant
classic Costello concerts including a performance at Hollywood High in
California and
other shows to be announced.

Recorded March 6th 1978, at the
sold-out El Mocambo in Toronto, Canada, and broadcast live by CHUM-FM, this
Elvis Costello and The Attractions concert was released the same year on about
300-500 pressings of a Canadian promotional album that became highly collectible
and heavily bootlegged. In fact, it may have been the most bootlegged of all
Costello albums. The album was officially released in 1993 as a bonus disc in
the four-CD box set 2 1/2 Years, and was also made available to those who bought
the other three CDs separately.

At the time of the concert, the band
was touring North America in support of My Aim Is True, Costello's 1977 debut
disc, and just days before the release of This Year's Model, the first album
with The Attractions: keyboardist Steve Nieve, bassist Bruce Thomas and drummer
Pete Thomas. The raw, energetic live performance in the midst of the late '70s
punk/new wave movement captured a band and an artist at their most impassioned.
The concert included My Aim Is True's 'Watching The Detectives', 'Less Than
Zero' (with new lyrics Costello penned for American listeners), 'Mystery Dance',
'Waiting For The End Of The World', 'Welcome To The Working Week' and 'Miracle
Man', and This Year's Model's anthemic 'Pump It Up', 'The Beat', 'Lip Service',
'(I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea' (only on the original U.K. album), 'Little
Triggers', 'Radio Radio' (only on the U.S. edition), 'Lipstick Vogue' and 'You
Belong To Me.'

In 2003, Costello was inducted into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the following year was ranked by Rolling
Stone among its 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Live At The El Mocambo flashes
back to a performance when Elvis Costello was just beginning.

machismo a man can muster about the mistakes he's made on the way from here to
everywhere". Also included are two unreleased tracks: Stevie Wonder's classic
'For Once In My Life', a rehearsal recorded on August 13, 1969 for a Sinatra
