Duffy returns with her new, eagerly anticipated album, 'Endlessly', on November 29th. 'Endlessly' was co-written and co-produced by Duffy and legendary songwriter and producer Albert Hammond ('The Air That I Breathe', 'When I Need You', 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now').
The new collection was recorded in New York, London and Spain represents the next chapter and clearly establishes Duffy as one of the biggest talents in music today. 'Endlessly' follows up her 2008 debut album 'Rockferry' which had worldwide sales of 6.5 million.
Preceding the release of the new album is the catchy lead single, 'Well, Well, Well' which includes Duffy's musical collaborators The Roots.
'Endlessly' begins with the catchy soul-disco track 'My Boy' and is followed by the heartbreaking, 'Too Hurt To Dance'. A Duffy personal favourite is 'Don't Forsake Me', a song filled with emotion and longing. "This is the song of my life," admits Duffy. The irresistible title song 'Endlessly' shows the Welsh songstress at her lyrical best as she sings, "I fall asleep to a dream and you're here again." Not one to dwell on heartbreak, buoyancy comes with the after hours stomp of 'Lovestruck' and the addictive swinging pop sound of 'Girl' with Duffy's breezy, sweet vocal.
Duffy is one of only nine solo female superstars in UK chart history to hold the #1 spot on the singles and album charts simultaneously with 'Mercy' and 'Rockferry'. She was also awarded the Breakthrough Act of the Year at the Q Magazine Awards and Song Of The Year ('Mercy') at the Mojo Awards. In 2009, Duffy won an Ivor Novello Award for songwriting, three BRIT Awards and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. 'Endlessly' is the next thrilling chapter in the story of Duffy's meteoric rise to superstardom.
DUFFY 'Well, Well, Well' [Release Date 22/11/2010]
2010 UK 2-track CD single
Duffy – one of the most successful female vocalists of this decade – is back with a modern shakedown called ‘Well, Well, Well’, released November 21st.
'Well, Well, Well', the first single from her eagerly anticipated new album 'Endlessly', is a funk driven, instant pop smash, co-written and produced by the legendary Albert Hammond (best known for the classic songs 'When I Need You' and 'The Air That I Breathe') and the singer herself.
Short, sharp and seriously fun, the track was recorded in both New York and London and features the incomparable hip-hop group The Roots, who also feature further as the rhythm section throughout 'Endlessly'. This stomping track sees a playful Duffy writing lyrics like "Why you giving me the third degree / when I'm not guilty of what you're saying I do". "Presumptions, assumptions" giggles Duffy, of the song's pointed lyrics, which play over a melody that will raise the hairs on your arms and get your feet tapping addictively.
