Bobby Farrell, lead singer of 70's disco greats Boney M has died at the age of 61.
Found dead on 30th Dec 2010 in St Petersburg, Russia, in a hotel room. Following a recent performance, as reported by agent John Seine.
The singer, who fronted the otherwise female group who originally came to an end in 1986 furnished clubs and dance floors world-wide throughout the Seventies and beyond with timeless hits like Rivers Of Babylon and Daddy Cool and had been preparing for a 2010 New Year's Eve celebration performance in Italy.
The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.
