The beginning of the end for digital music sales?

Although digital sales contine to grow, sales have halved year on year since 2008.  The BBC reports that download revenues grew by only 6% in 2010 compared to 12% in 2009 and 25% in 2008.  The major challenge to the music download industry comes from piracy as some sources suggest that as much as 95% of downloaded material is pirated.  This is serious business for the music industry and as many as 1.2 million jobs globally could be lost in the creative sector by 2015.
