Thursday’s Top Three including ADRIAN BELEW & DAVID BOWIE, JIMI HENDRIX and NEIL YOUNG…

Pretty Pink Rose ADRIAN BELEW with DAVID BOWIE Pretty Pink Rose

Rare 1990 German-only 3-track CD single by the innovative ex-Zappa, Talking Heads and King Crimson guitarist, taken from his 5th solo album 'Young Lions', also including Crimson's Heartbeat & Oh Daddy taken from the Atlantic debut album 'Mr Music Head', striking picture sleeve [pink, of course!] – brilliant and scarce single! A7904CD.

JIMI HENDRIX Gloria Gloria

1988 German Polydor 4-track CD single, also including Purple Haze, Hey Joe and Voodoo Chile, housed in a great 'newsprint' style card wallet picture sleeve. The sleeve is showing just some very light discolouration to revealits age but is still in a superb shape whilst the disc itself is MINT – stunning condition for this early CD single release!.

2009 US limited edition – NOW SOLD OUT – individually numbered high quality LP box set containing the classic first four albums ['Neil Young', 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere', 'After The Goldrush' & 'Harvest'] in exact reproductions of the ORIGINAL album artwork [eg. no title on the front of 'Neil Young'], remastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering & pressed and by Pallas in Germany on audiophile 180gm Virgin vinyl. Warner Brothers have gone to the trouble and expense of using deluxe paper over cardboard jackets that are authentic to the originals, although there are barcodes and updated mastering credits. All original posters and inserts are included. Pick up the new Harvest and you’ll be hard-pressed to tell it from the original, so perfectly does the new, thick outer paper stock match the original. Reviews have unanimously put the sound quality of these pressings as FAR better than the originals! This copy is still factory sealed in the individually gold numbered picture box with album artwork illustrations on the back and a deletion mark through the barcode. A fantastic set, fully living up to the expected high quality of the Neil Young Archive release series!

  1. Wow. Never actually even heard of Pretty Pink Rose. Probably because it was a German release only! Love Adrian’s work, especially what he’s done with Bowie. Mr. Belew will actually be mentoring musicians at our camp series, whith Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto. It’s going to be a great time and we hope you can make it!
