Countdown to High Voltage – Live Prog Stage!…

60 days, 17 hours and counting is the current status on High Voltage's countdown-timer for their upcoming summer festival – all taking place on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th July at London's Victoria Park and the Prog stage looks set to be one of the best meeting of new and old prog-rock…ever!

With headliner's in the shape of prog-rock institutions Jethro Tull and progressive folk originals Barclay James Harvest being the climax to an astonishing action packed 2 days worth of progressive music thanks to High Voltage's Classic Rock Presents Prog-Rock stage – the rest of the line-up is quite simply a mesmerizing prospect!

From Canterbury scene originals Caravan [still thriving on since their inception in 1968!] to new head-turners Amplifier showcasing their wall-of-sound and Anathema's [recent album mixed by Steven Wilson] reflective soundscapes providing diverse delights on the Saturday there's just enough time to absorb all of that before heading back out again for a truly incredible Sunday with neo-prog originals Pallas starting affairs before Symphonic Rock stalwarts The Enid grace the stage getting the crowd suitably energised before legends Curved Air make their appearance and that's still before 'Classic Rock Presents Poll album of the year 2010 award winners' Spock's Beard bring their accomplished talents to the crowd!!

Other band's performing their own brand of musical innovation on the roster include Transatlantic and Spock's Beard founder Neal Morse, female fronted and increasingly popular Mostly Autumn plus one of the most exciting newcomers making noises all over planet-prog Von Hertzen Brothers!

We urge you to come and check out our great range of releases from these front-runners of prog – all as astonishingly good in the studio as they are on the live stage….just giving you time to educate your ears in their fascinating sounds and ways before you witness them do it for real!
