Mega rare 1971 UK 7-track LP. The debut album by the British progressive folk band offering a superb mixture of rock with the darker, avant-garde side of British prog-folk. The gatefold picture sleeve features captivating artwork by Roger Wootton [lead singer & songwriter of the band] and comes with the original illustrated lyric insert on which the fastidious previous owner of this copy has handwritten some lovely details regarding the mythology around the bandname and first song 'Diana' which was released as a single. Also present is a great newspaper cutting of an advert for the album, surely a rarity and fantastic accompaniment! The sleeve is strictly graded VG/VG+, with just minor shelfwear evident, mostly to the edges with a little discolouration through age/storage. The vinyl, graded VG+/EX- shows only a few surface scuffs and having play tested the entire album these marks cause no major disruption with little other noise affecting overall playback. A very respectable copy of this extremely sought after Forty year old monster prog collectable, available at an extremely advantageous price as mint copies are now selling for in excess of £1000!
