We've had a batch of official BPI Music Industry Sales Awards in just this week as well as a batch of genuine music label in-house awards presented to industry personnel or BBC radio staff

CULTURE CLUB Greatest Moments – Rare official 1998 UK BPI certified PLATINUM sales award presented to former manager Tony Gordon, issued to commemorate sales in the UK of more than 300,000 copies of the Virgin double-CD album. The award features two CDs mounted either side of a copy of the album artwork, above a custom engraved BPI dedication plaque. Measures 16" x 21" – framed and glazed. ROXY MUSIC Manifesto – Scarce 1979 UK official BPI certified SILVER LP sales award presented to Roxy's drummer PAUL THOMPSON, to recognise sales in the UK of more than £150,000 worth of the Polydor album. The silver coloured LP is mounted above a miniature image of the album artwork and custom BPI dedication plaque, on a blue background with Union Jack flag in the top left corner. Framed and glazed – measures approximately 20" x 16". A stunning award presented directly to theRoxy Music drummer – magnificent!
EVA CASSIDY Live At Blues Alley / Eva By Heart / Time After Time – Scarce official UK Blix Street/Hot Records in-house gold award presented to a BBC Radio 2 executive to recognise sales in excess of 100,000 copies of each of the three Blix Street albums. The award features the CD artwork for each title with a copy of the disc emerging from the relevant sleeve, plus a small 'Gold Sales Award' plaque and a custom gold dedication plaque, all on a red background with a 'Union 'Jack' flag in the top left corner.
