We recently picked up an astonishing collection of records from a long time collector who was ready to move their items on to a new life. Starting back in the ’60s and ’70s, the collection contains many rare records from the time from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, King Crimson and more. The collection also touches on the more experimental side of rock music, with records by Fuchsia, and the almighty Gong.

Jimi Hendrix – Are You Experienced: Rare 1967 UK first pressing 11-track <B>MONO</B> vinyl LP with A1/B1 matrices, front laminated Ernest J. Day picture sleeve. The sleeve on this copy is in fantastic condition with just a few minor creases to the laminate but with the colours still bright & vibrant and a little light age discolouration creeping in on the edges of the unlaminated reverse. The vinyl too, whilst obviously played, has just a few light hairline marks with the unforgivingblack Track labels showing remarkably little spindle wear – an amazing copy of Jimi’s rare first press debut LP!
Fuchsia – Fuchsia: Extremely Rare 1971 7-track LP that mixes Folk & Progressive modes, featuring a non-traditional instrumental line up, now highly sought after. Comes housed in a stunning & fully textured picture sleeve. The sleeve is Excellentwith only a spot of faint ring wear & the vinyl appears Near Mint.
Gong – Angels Egg: Rare 1973 13-track vinyl LP on the black & white ‘two virgins’ label, gatefold picture sleeve with the highly sought after 16-page booklet Radio Gnome Invisible – The Mystery Histories ‘written and performed by Gong band and family on earth under the influence of the Mother planet’. The sleeve has just a few spots of discolouration, whilst the all-important booklet is in fantastic condition, secure at the staples [which are still bright] and has just a small corner crease. The vinyl shows just a few very faint scuff marks and is Excellent – ultra cosmick!
