For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.
While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

Jean-Michel Jarre – Equinoxe: Rare sealed 1995 US limited edition Mobile Fidelity label half-speed mastered ‘Original Master Recording’ 8-track audiophile LP pressed on 200gm High Definition Vinyl, housed in a gold numbered gatefold picture sleeve [this is number 0990]. This copy is still sealed in its original polythene bag complete with Japanese gold hype sticker for the ‘anadisc 200’ series from the Yukimu Corporation. A real rarity!
Gary Moore – Still Got The Blues: Rare 1990 UK 9-track vinyl LP with picture labels, including Oh Pretty Woman and Still Got The Blues For You, glossy picture sleeve and original credits inner. The sleeve shows just a little light edgewear & the vinyl has only a couple of hairline marks and the occasional scuff. A really nice example of this rarity.
Rolling Stones – Stripped: 1995 UK 14-track double LP, featuring tracks recorded live during performances in Amsterdam, Paris, Lisbon & at rehearsals in Tokyo, housed in a single pocket picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inners. The sleeve isExcellent with a little minor ageing around the edges & the vinyl discs are Excellent to Near Mint with barely a hint of play
