We’ve had a great collection in this week of Vinyl album reissues of rare albums. Hard to find, or wallet busters in the ‘original’ Vinyl form, these reissues make for an affordable addition to your classic album collection.
RYAN ADAMS & THE CARDINALS Easy Tiger – 2007 US strictly limited edition 13-track LP pressed on Orange Coloured Vinyl – Ryan agrees that the tone of ‘Easy Tiger’ is different [not dark, just different] and suggests in passing that it may have something to do with both sobering up and growing up [he’s 32], includes the singles ‘Two’ [featuring Sheryl Crow on backing vocals] and the upbeat ‘Halloween Head’; within a PVC envelope style sleeve with insert which folds out into a superb poster with lyrics and photos. Although not sealed, this example remains in a ‘near as new’ condition
The Maccabees – Colour It In – Limited edition 2015 UK 13-track vinyl LP reissue, with unique picture sleeve and lyric inner. Originally released in 2007, this album propelled The Maccabees to indie stardom on the back of the infectious singles About Your Dress and Precious Time. This copy is in near ‘as new’ condition retaining the original stickered shrink, and is becoming increasingly harder to find now. The first copy we have ever had COLOURLP2
HUMBLE PIE As Safe As Yesterday Is – Rare 1969 US white label variant 11-track vinyl LP, the debut album from the ‘supergroup’ from Steve Marriott [ex–Small Faces] & Peter Frampton [ex–The Herd] alongside former Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridleyand drummer, Jerry Shirley, from The Apostolic Intervention. There are some faint common cosmetic surface scuffs evident showing light signs of play and comes housed in the fantastic back-pasted picture sleeve which retains its opened original shrinkwrap IMOCS101
