TURIN BRAKES 'Bottled At Source – The Best Of The Source Years' [Release Date 07/09/2009]

2CD: To celebrate their 10th anniversary, on 7th September Turin Brakes will release a Best Of, rounding off their career-to-date. Formed in 1999 by Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, Turin Brakes' first release was The Door EP, which was followed by their highly acclaimed debut album, 2001's 'The Optimist' LP, released through Source Records. In 2003 they released the album 'Ether Song', which spawned the massive radio track and Top 5 single, 'Painkiller'. Two more studio albums followed; 2005's 'JackInABox', which included 'Fishing For A Dream', and 2007's Ethan John's-produced album, 'Dark On Fire', both of which were praised by critics and fans alike. Disc one of the Best Of will feature 13 harmoniously gorgeous singles, non-album releases, and a number of album tracks. As a tribute to their loyal and passionate fans, the band offered the chance for them to help select the songs that would contribute towards the make up of the second disc. All they had to do was visit the bands website – www.turinbrakes.com – and vote for their three favourite songs from a list of 10: Since the release of their last album, 2007's 'Dark On Fire', Olly and Gale have been putting their songwriting talents to good use working with artists diverse as Dido, Take That, Pete Laurie and Kate Walsh, amongst others.
